Heads of Year

 

The Head of Year 12 is:

Charlotte Hanna Charlotte Hanna was educated at a South Oxfordshire comprehensive school. She then graduated from Brighton University in 2008 with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science, completing her dissertation in the research of levels of self-esteem and self-efficacy in teenage girls and their motivation to take part in physical activity. Charlotte then returned to the local area to complete her teaching qualification at Reading University. She has taught at Didcot Girls' School since 2009. Charlotte is currently a Head of Year in the Sixth Form and teaches PE up to A2 level. Charlotte is particularly keen to carry on developing high quality provision within our Sixth Form College.

I Black Ian Black was educated at King Alfred’s School in Wantage. He then graduated from Sussex University in 1983 with a Degree in Biology. After a Post Graduate course at Harper Adams Agricultural College he worked in the Agrochemical Industry for 13 years. His move into education started with a PGCE at Oxford Brookes in 1998 and then a first teaching job at a Wiltshire comprehensive school. He joined St Birinus School in 2002 as a teacher of science. Previously he has had roles as Science KS3 coordinator and Head of Biology.  Ian has worked with sixth form students throughout his teaching career and was a 6th Form tutor before becoming a Sixth Form Head of Year in 2009.
